Dear Friends, 2007
was a wonderful year for Booth
Ministries, and I want to thank you for making that possible.
During
2007 we began working with Pastor Jesus in Santa Cruz to set up discipleship
schools. One of the villages in which we have established the discipleship
school is Yasi. We have also met with pastors and discussed the possibility of
establishing discipleship schools in other villages in Intibuca. With this, we
have provided study materials for them. Many of these men did not have a study
Bible. We have been able, with the help of contributions, to provide a study
Bible for many of them and help them learn how to use it. Not only are these
pastors benefiting from receiving these study Bibles, the people that they lead
are growing in their faith. Imagine the ripple effect of the work! Discipleship
is the core of our work both here and abroad. Jesus told us to go and make
disciples. Our desire is to do exactly what He said. Our vision is not limited
to Honduras. We have ongoing discipleship opportunities at home. Additionally,
we are able to counsel with individuals, Last
year we had extra opportunities for ministry which include being
able to provide funds for Pastor Jesus' wife to have her baby at the
clinic, minister to twins who were extremely malnourished, and provide much need
cataract surgery for a twelve year old girl. While this type ministry is not our
focus, we find that God opens these doors as well. Matthew 25:45 tells us, "...inas much as you have done it unto the least
of these my brethren, you have done it unto Me." We
have made some changes in the organization of the ministry which is effective
now. Booth Ministries is now incorporated as 4E International. We are in the
process of obtaining a full non-profit recognition. The vision of the ministry
remains the same. Any contributions should be made to 4E International. Thank
you for your continued support and prayers for this ministry. We are excited
about the changes and look forward to pressing on with the work God has called
us to do. As
you know, I was planning a trip to Honduras and Mexico early 2008. Due to some
unforeseen medical problems, we have had to postpone these until later. Since,
September I have experienced some respiratory issues. While I have improved,
my doctor is running some tests to rule out any health problems and feels
that I should not travel until the tests are complete.
This time is being used to work on study materials and prepare another
course of study to be made available to anyone who would like to receive it on a
monthly basis. Please pray that God will heal these health issues. Also, pray
that God will direct us and we will walk in what He wants to do. This is our
desire. We are grateful for your prayers and support throughout this year and
pray that God blesses you with every good blessing as this work continues. May the Grace of God and Jesus Christ
continue with you all,
In Christ,
